It had been on my bucket list for literally EVER. That might seem like a huge exaggeration but it’s true. Since I was about 10 years old I dreamed of going to Greece, to see the iconic blue domes and those beautiful white-washed church steeples, all of it with the backdrop of crystal blue waters meeting up with the blue skies.

As I stood there on the rugged coastline of Santorini, camera in hand, I couldn’t help but feel an overwhelming sense of peace wash over me. The azure blue waters gently lapping at the shore so far below and surrounding the ancient caldera, the endless expanse of sky stretching out as far as the eye could see, it was like stepping into a dream. In fact, each of the islands looked like they were literally floating on clouds.

And what better place to capture that dream than through the lens of my camera? As a photographer, I am constantly searching for the perfect shot. The one that will transport the viewer to another world, a world filled with beauty, grace, and wonder.

And Santorini, with its stunning liquid gold sunsets and breathtaking vistas, is the perfect destination for any photographer seeking to capture the essence of timeless, classic fine art photography.

It’s true that every trip to Greece is an unforgettable experience, but there’s something particularly special about Santorini. Maybe it’s the way the whitewashed buildings cling to the cliffs, or the way the azure blue waters seem to stretch out endlessly before you.

Or maybe it’s the fact that this island is the perfect location for a destination wedding. The cerulean blue waters, the stunning vistas, and the sense of romance that permeates every corner of this island make it the ideal place for any couple seeking to begin their journey together.

And this trip to Santorini was the trip of a lifetime! Everywhere we travelled, it was about the vignettes! It was like they were never ending! It truly is a photographer’s paradise, the stuff of photographer dreams. And I’m here to report that it really is as blue as it looks in magazines!! The famous three blue domes, the blue blue sky, the land of a million spectacular sunsets, my happy place!
