I was so happy to finally meet Katie and Nick in person! They currently live together in Edmonton but were home for some time off in between their studies and while the weather was cold & windy (probably not as cold as they might be used to in Northern Alberta), it did cooperate for us and we captured some stunning photos……and every so often (it was fleeting!) we were actually treated to a little golden hour light that the weather reports had not predicted. These two are so cute together; they couldn’t stop smiling and laughing, even when their hands felt numb. They finish each others’ sentences as if they know exactly what the other one is thinking. I can see why they are inseparable – they are so comfortable with each other! It was perfectly fitting that we started their engagement session with some sweet photos at the cozy Lost & Found Café in Elora Ontario followed by some beautiful photos with the iconic Elora Mill in the background. Their outfits and extra large scarf/blanket were the perfect colours! And since they are such sports to be out in the cold weather we figured we’d finish off with some flying snow – after all, who doesn’t want flying snow for their engagement photos? The next time we meet it will definitely not be snowing! I can’t wait for their wedding day in June where we will celebrate with their families and friends at the Knollwood Golf Club in Ancaster, Ontario. It certainly won’t be long now (yay for the thought of spring blossoms around the corner and then the heat of summer!). In the meantime, stay warm, grab a coffee or tea and enjoy Katie and Nick’s photos – they will surely fill you with their light, laughter, and love!
