I’m so excited to share with you all about an amazing winter engagement photo session I recently had in downtown Elora, Ontario with a bride to be I have known for years and her wonderful fiance. Ever since we have known Taya, her infectious smile, sunny personality and easy-going, laid-back attitude to life have made her a cherished, just like family, member! And now we have had the pleasure of meeting and getting to know Connor, and it is plain to see that these two share the same love for life, sense of humour and kindness. It was so lovely to witness their fun together! And their love of all things winter!……although we would have all gladly traded in the frigid temperatures!

We almost had to cancel because it was beyond cold. But these two are a hardy couple who could not be fazed, even with quivering chins. It was such a joy and pleasure to be the photographers to capture their winter memories!

The quaint village was the perfect backdrop for capturing authentic moments of joy and laughter shared between Taya and Connor. And laugh we all did! The snow-covered streets and charming buildings added a timeless and classic feel to the photos, making them truly picturesque. And how grateful were we to warm up for a few minutes with steaming mugs of coffee in the Lost and Found Cafe, one of my favourite spots in Elora, including on a cold day like this one!

As Taya and Connor walked hand in hand and we wandered around the village, exploring different nooks and crannies for the perfect shot, it was wonderful to see Taya and Connor’s genuine connection shine through in every image – they are absolutely adorable together! The cozy winter setting created both a fun and tender-hearted atmosphere, allowing for some truly beautiful and heartwarming moments to be captured on camera, especially so many photos captured as the night crept in. Surrounded by twinkling garden lights, the setting was just magical, reflecting the mood just perfectly.

Overall, Taya and Connor brought their ‘A ‘ game, making this engagement session a dream to photograph. Their cheeky sides were perfectly on display at the end of the session and I feel so grateful to have been able to freeze these special moments in time for them to cherish for years to come. It’s sessions like these that remind me why I love being a photographer – capturing love, laughter, and joy in its purest form.

I can’t wait for more opportunities in 2025 to create magic behind the lens and to continue to document love stories like Taya and Connor’s in the most authentic and beautiful way possible. Enjoy these photos from their shoot……until next time!
