I recently had the opportunity to photograph a beautiful maternity & couple session with Vanessa and Tyler (and their soon-to-be-born little bundle of joy!) in one of my favourite locations – Huron Natural Area in Kitchener Ontario. And Vanessa and Tyler are not only a legacy couple, having blessed me with many opportunities to capture memories for them at several different celebrations, but they are also a favourite couple of mine. So I was thrilled that they reached out to me again to capture this special moment in their lives.

There are so many beautiful locations at Huron Natural Area including a boardwalk, forested areas, and hiking paths throughout. But among one of my absolute favourite spots for taking photos is the floral meadow up on the hill and let me tell you, this night it definitely delivered – it was pure dreamy magic. There’s just something so special about capturing the glowing energy of an expectant mother along with the excitement of a soon-to-be dad, surrounded by the beauty of nature.

The soft sunlight filtering through the trees, the gentle breeze blowing through the tall grasses, and the serene atmosphere of the meadow all came together to create the perfect backdrop for Vanessa and Tyler’s session. As the mom-to-be posed among the wildflowers and embraced her growing bump, I couldn’t help but feel honoured to be a part of these tender and intimate moments.

Maternity (& couple) photography has a way of capturing the pure essence of both motherhood and parenthood – the anticipation, the love, the joy, and even the vulnerability that comes with bringing a new life into the world. And in particular, it’s a reminder of the incredible strength and beauty of women, especially during this special time of their lives.

I’m grateful to have been able to capture these precious memories for this glowing mama-to-be Vanessa, her right hand rock in life Tyler, and their growing family. Maternity & couple sessions like this one always hold a special place in my heart, and I look forward to creating more beautiful moments like this in the future……including when I get to meet this precious little cutie very soon and capture their first early days together as a family of three!
