A huge miracle in such a tiny little being. Cute, cute squish.
The snuggle is real. Welcome to the world precious Mille!
I have been fortunate enough to know Amanda and Gavin since they tied the knot. Their wedding was a beautiful affair that still warms my heart. They even shared their touching COVID wedding story in The Wedding Ring bridal magazine (you can read more details about their wonderful story here: https://lisarivardphotography.com/stylish-summer-garden-wedding/ and in The Wedding Ring here: https://www.theweddingring.ca/amanda-gavin-real-wedding-story/).
Following their journey has been a privilege, especially now that their family has expanded to include a sweet little girl named Millie, a sister for Lily. This family has always been the epitome of laid back, even when it comes to big events like their wedding. They switched from a destination wedding to a surprise, intimate backyard celebration (guests thought they were coming to an engagement party!) without breaking a sweat.
And now, despite having two little girls, Amanda and Gavin remain as cool as cucumbers. They handle everything with ease and grace, never letting on if they feel overwhelmed. They may be stressing or feel the chaos on the inside but you would never know it to meet them! When Millie was born a few days late, they took it in stride.
Their cherished furry family member, their dog Goose, is always there to lend a paw, as was Auntie Kristen on their family photo day (this photographer was ever so grateful for her assistance – a thousand thanks Auntie Kristen!). With the help of arrowroot cookies, and so many stuffed toys for Lily (and a never ending game of taking all the stuffies out of their baskets and then putting them all back in again!) we were able to capture some great family moments!
Being Amanda and Gavin’s photographer, I aim to capture their family in authentic, and unscripted ways. It’s moments like these, with all their beautiful imperfections, that make me fall in love with capturing memories through the lens all over again.
